Business Development Manager – Warrington (Extensive travel across Southern England) - £75,600 inclusive of car allowance plus 20% bonus.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy across industrial services and engineering markets, in particular Mechanical, Electrical, Scaffolding, Insulation and Coating Services.
This role will focus on new business development, key account growth, and strategic sales leadership, working closely with operational and technical teams to secure and deliver high-value contracts.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement business development strategies to drive revenue growth across targeted sectors
* Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, Process and Pharma markets
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior decision-makers
* Achieve and exceed sales targets, revenue goals and gross profit margins
* Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to negotiation and contract award
* Support bid and proposal teams by developing win themes and compelling sales content
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activity and new growth areas
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM pipeline management and forecasting
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful contract delivery and client satisfaction
* Drive a strong sales culture and contribute to strategic business planning
The successful candidate:
* Proven experience in Business Development / Sales within engineering, maintenance or industrial services
* Strong sector experience across Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, Process or Pharmaceutical industries
* Demonstrable track record of winning new business and delivering revenue growth
* Established industry network and client relationships
* Experience with framework agreements, construction projects, shutdowns/turnarounds
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate and close high-value contracts
* Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
