Resulting from a period of continued growth, Mayflower Engineering Limted has an opening for a permanent Business Development Manager. The successful applicant will need to display a demonstrable track record in the development of new business sales in the very wide and diverse field of Mechanical Engineering. It would be expected that the candidate be from a sales background and be target driven; it would be advantageous for the candidate to have a good mechanical engineering qualification.

There will be frequent UK travel therefore a clean UK driving license is essential.

Ideal experience:

• Ability to drive sales and build strong client relationships
• Generating leads and identifying target contacts
• Strong field prospecting and sales experience
• Track record of selling into the relevant sectors
• Experience of selling bespoke/high value contracts
• Experience of presenting detailed, high quality and timely proposals
