The Role
Reporting to the Head of Category & Consumer Insight, this role supports the commercial and NPD teams by conducting in-depth research, mining and analysing multiple data sources, and identifying meaningful trends across both the meat and meat-free categories.
With a deep understanding of customer behaviour, market dynamics, and retailer performance, the role exists to deliver compelling, insight-led strategies that strengthen our position as a leading food producer. You will be instrumental in developing growth and new business initiatives for our key customer partners, ensuring that category propositions, product development, and brand activities are always grounded in clear, evidence-based insight. As part of a dynamic and fast-evolving business, this role will continue to grow in scope and impact—supporting Finnebrogue’s ambition to innovate and lead across all categories we serve.
What It Takes
We’re looking for a Category & Insights Manager who lives and breathes data—someone who doesn’t just see numbers, but spots stories, patterns, and opportunities others might miss. You’re the kind of person who thrives on digging into the detail, connecting the dots, and translating complex market information into sharp, actionable insights that drive real business growth.
You’ll be naturally curious, analytically sharp, and commercially minded, with a strong interest in food, innovation, and the fast-moving world of FMCG. Whether you’re evaluating the success of a national promotion, analysing category trends across retailers, or presenting a clear, compelling insight to commercial and NPD teams—you know how to make data work hard and land with impact. With experience in a similar role, a flair for storytelling with numbers, and a proactive, self-starting attitude, you’ll be a vital voice in shaping Finnebrogue’s growth strategy and helping us stay ahead of the market.
Hours of work
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours being 10am to 4pm. Hybrid or remote considered. Travel to Ireland and customer locations will be required.
Benefits
Working within one of our state of the art premises you will enjoy a range of benefits including the ability to relax during your break in a restaurant standard canteen with all meals subsidised. We even offer free breakfast and lunch options. You will enjoy free onsite car parking and electric charging points. You will be entitled to free products weekly (Up to 5 free products per person) through our award winning “Shack Initiative.” We have a packed calendar of wellbeing, social and sport events.
After you have settled into the Finnebrogue family your perks will only increase including a Healthcare plan, cycle to work scheme, new electric car scheme and we won’t forget the days that are important to you, you will receive your birthday as a holiday day! Our list of benefits continue to grow and you don’t have to just take our word for it. We have been awarded Irish News and Grocer Gold Employer of the Year as testimony to the exciting culture and benefits we offer.
