We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Chef to join our team at The Swallows Nest to help with food preparation, cleaning, food service, and assistant the head chef.

The successful candidate will be able to work quickly and efficiently whilst following all safety and sanitation regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen setting, be able to take direction well, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. This position is seasonal, hours will differ in the quieter months.

Working alongside our Head Chef you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your culinary skills.

The successful candidate will undergo full training.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the preparation of meals. * Carry out food service alongside the Head Chef. * Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and surfaces. * Ensure that all food safety regulations are followed. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment. * Organise and store food items according to safety guidelines. * Assist with the unloading of food deliveries. * Stock and replenish food supplies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
