Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership
- Guide development and execution of multi-year financial strategies aligned with clinical, operational, and expansion goals.
- Lead long-range financial forecasting, capital allocation, and scenario planning.
- Contribute as a strategic partner in board and executive-level decision-making with visibility over risks and opportunities.
- Financial Operations & Performance
- Oversee budgeting, variance reporting, cash flow, working capital, and financial controls to support robust operations.
- Monitor and report on financial performance across clinic sites and centralised functions; identify areas for efficiency and growth.
- Propose operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure statutory accounts are prepared accurately and timely in line with UK GAAP/IFRS and regulatory obligations.
- Manage external audits and delivery of financials to shareholders, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulatory standards as they pertain to financial operations.
- Develop improved management information to support clinic operations and board reporting.
- Commercial & Pricing Strategy
- Analyse product and service profitability, recommending pricing or margin improvements.
- Identify new service or partnership opportunities to enhance revenue streams and value.
- Evaluate financing options for planned clinic expansions or technological investments.
- Implement enterprise risk management mechanisms addressing financial, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and excellence.
- Enhance financial literacy and collaboration across clinical and operations teams.
- Key Relationships
- Form strong working relationships with SLT colleagues and board directors including the Chair and investors.
- Engage with clinic teams to ensure finance supports operational and financial performance within patient satisfaction and clinical quality objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven CFO-level experience.
- Experience of value creation within a high-growth Private Equity environment, ideally with organic growth and multi-site operations.
- Strong track record in financial planning, analysis, and strategic leadership.
- Experience handling audits, compliance, and regulatory requirements in healthcare settings is highly desirable.
- Capability in commercial modelling, pricing strategy, and managing financial risk.
