Children's Social Worker - Assessment Team | West London Hybrid Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a busy and supportive Children's Assessment Team in West London, offering hybrid working and pay rates aligned with the London Pledge. This is an excellent opportunity for practitioners dedicated to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families within a fast‑paced service.

About the Role
Working within the Children's Assessment Team, you will carry out timely, high‑quality assessments to understand risk, need and family strengths. You will collaborate with children, parents, schools, health services and partner agencies to ensure effective, child‑centred planning.

Key responsibilities include:

Completing child and family assessments within statutory timescales
Undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries
Producing clear, analytical assessment reports for planning and court processes
Responding to new referrals and managing a dynamic caseload
Ensuring the child's voice is consistently captured and prioritised
Working closely with multidisciplinary and safeguarding partners
Supporting safe decision‑making and planning for children at risk of harmAbout You
You will be a capable and confident practitioner who:

Is registered with Social Work England
Has recent experience in children's social care (assessment, safeguarding or front‑door work preferred)
Communicates clearly and compassionately with children and families
Works well under pressure and manages competing priorities
Demonstrates strong analytical and report‑writing skills
Is committed to trauma‑informed, strengths‑based practice
Builds effective relationships with partner agencies and professionalsWhat's on Offer
