Children's Waking Night Support Worker

Role Overview As a Childrens Residential Support Worker (Waking Nights), you will provide active overnight support, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional stability of children and young people throughout the night. Residential experience is desirable, however candidates with relevant transferable experience will also be considered. Full training is provided, with long-term progression opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities Childrens Residential Support Worker (Waking Nights) Provide active overnight supervision as a Childrens Residential Support Worker
Support children and young people within LD and EBD residential homes
Monitor safety, wellbeing, and emotional needs throughout the night
Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
Complete night logs, welfare checks, and incident reports
Support morning routines where required
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and care plan requirements at all times
Shift Patterns Waking night shifts only
3 on / 3 off rota pattern
Shift times: 21:30 08:30
Active support throughout the night
Temp to perm opportunity
Requirements Experience working with children in a residential home is desirable
Transferable experience working with children or young people considered
Experience supporting LD and/or EBD needs advantageous
Ability to commit to a 3 on / 3 off waking night rota (21:3008:30)
Calm, resilient, and reliable approach
Child and Adult Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service preferred, but not essential
Full UK driving licence preferred
