Job Description
Our client, a leading consultancy within the water sector, is looking for experienced Civil Design Engineers to support Yorkshire Water AMP8 projects on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work fully remotely on a long-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Storm Overflow Alliance (SOA) on projects involving CSOs, storage, and sewer upgrades.
- Contribute to the Strategic Planning Partnership (SPP) with feasibility studies, optioneering, and early-stage infrastructure planning.
- Work on both infrastructure and non-infrastructure clean water and wastewater projects.
- Ensure design compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation as required.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil engineering within the water sector.
- Strong understanding of design principles and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in using relevant engineering software.
- Ability to produce high-quality design documentation and reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
