Civils Contracts ManagerAbout The ClientMy client is a growing principal contractor delivering high-quality civil engineering and construction projects across the North West and surrounding regions.They specialise in infrastructure, groundworks, reinforced concrete structures, and associated civils packages for energy, commercial and industrial clients.Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Civils Contracts Manager to join our team based in Stockport.The RoleAs Civils Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing multiple civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This is a key leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness, operational oversight, and client-facing capability.Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple civils and groundworks projects simultaneouslyOversee Site Managers and operational teamsEnsure compliance with HSEQ standards and company policiesMonitor programme performance and drive timely project deliveryManage budgets, cost control, and contract variationsLead client meetings and maintain strong working relationshipsCoordinate subcontractors and suppliersReview and approve RAMS and project documentationProvide regular progress and commercial reports to senior managementRequirementsProven experience as a Contracts Manager within civil engineering or groundworksStrong knowledge of infrastructure, drainage, reinforced concrete, and earthworksCommercially astute with strong contractual knowledge (JCT/NEC experience preferred)Excellent leadership and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple live projectsSMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card preferred)Full UK driving licenceDesirableDegree/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementExperience working as a Principal ContractorStrong client network across the countryThe PackageCompetitive salary (DOE)Company car or car allowancePension schemeOngoing professional developmentOpportunity to progress within a growing contractorSupportive and professional working environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
