Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a number of Class 1 Shunter Drivers for our client based outside of Derby city centre. This is yard shunting and not road driving. You must have a valid Class 1 license and have experience as a shunter driver. Duties As a Class 1 Shunter Driver, you will support operations by managing the movement of trailers. Specifically, you will drive a TUG tractor unit and manoeuvre trailers throughout the site to ensure logistics operations are smooth and efficient. Shunting around the yard preparing wagons for deliveries. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition, Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving Using a handheld device to get instructions for your workload Communicate effectively with the transport office You must have: An LGV Class 1 licence with a minimum of 12 months' commercial driving experience No more than 6 points on your licence A CPC Driver qualification A current Digital Tachograph Card <...
