Driver Hire Gatwick is recruiting a Class 2 Delivery Driver to join one of our well-established clients in the New Year 2026. This is an ongoing role with a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
You will be delivering high-quality meat products to a range of customers across Kent, the South West, and surrounding areas, providing a professional, customer-focused service.
The Role
* 5–10 deliveries per shift, depending on distance
* Monday to Friday, start time from 05:00 AM
* Delivering to a variety of customer sites
* Ensure compliance with driver hours and road regulations
* Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and on time
* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
* Safely load, unload, and secure goods
* Represent the company professionally at all times
The Ideal Candidate
* Customer-facing with a positive “can-do” attitude
* Friendly, polite, and professional
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Able to act responsibly and remain calm under pressure
* Good working knowledge of Driver Hours regulations
* Safety-focused with the ability to load, unload, and transport goods securely
* Flexible and willing to complete early starts and occasional nights out if required
* A reliable team player who helps promote a positive company image
Requirements
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
* CPC and Digital Tachograph card
* Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
* No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements: CD/IN/DR/TT)
* Must live within 10 miles of Crawley
* Good navigational skills
* Right to work in the UK
