*Job Overview*

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in a variety of vehicles from 7.5 tonne to 26 tonne curtain sided vehicle. As a commercial Driver, you will be responsible for the collection of Waste tyres from customer sites across the North West and safely delivering them to our recycling centre in Wem, Shrewsbury.

*Responsibilities*

* Operate a Rigid lorry to collect tyres and deliver them back to our facility in Wem. * Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. * Maintain accurate collection logs and documentation as required. * Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. * Communicate effectively with Job planning and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. * Provide excellent customer service during collections, representing the company positively at all times.

*Qualifications*

* Valid commercial driving licence (Class 2) is essential. * Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads (loading / Unloding tyres) * Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is essential. * Familiarity with curtain sided wagon operations is an advantage. * Good driving record with no major violations or accidents * Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. * Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. * Ability to read and follow GPS and other navigational systems.
