Clerk of Works You will provide support on the delivery of individual projects within the Council s housing investment programme with particular focus on compliance with specification, quality of workmanship, materials and technical standards. It is essential you have a recognized qualification in the building construction field or a relevant trade background. Previous experience of working on housing investment programmes within a local authority or housing association is desirable. You must have effective verbal and written communication skills, a knowledge of various Health and Safety at Work Regulations relating to the construction industry and knowledge of standards of workmanship for all trades involved in the construction process. You must have a flexible approach and be able to attend evening meetings. It is desirable you have knowledge of local authority working conditions and practices and able to demonstrate a range of experiences in this discipline. You must a competent IT user and have a working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft IT packages. A full driving licence is essential.
