CNC Machinist
Salary £34,500 (including shift allowance) overtime available, Bristol BS34, 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, alternate shift pattern working 06:00-14:00 -14:00-22:00, 25 days + bank holidays, company pension, parking.
Friendly, successful and expanding aerospace engineering company in Bristol are recruiting for a cnc machinist or cnc miller who would report to the production manager.
Responsibilities for the cnc machinist or cnc miller
*Setting up and operating 3-axis cnc milling machines.
*Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
*Selecting appropriate tooling for job.
*Working with quality team to ensure part-conformity and traceability.
*Communicating any equipment needs with Engineering & Quality
managers.
Key Skills required for the cnc machinist or cnc miller
*Minimum 2 years' experience operating cnc machinery
*Setting and operating cnc machines - preferably cnc milling machines
*Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
*Experience of 3 axis milling machining centers preferable but not essential
*Ability to do basic editing of cnc programs to suit need if required
*Fanuc experience preferable but not essential
* Using measuring tools - vernier and calipers
*Ability to record information and communicate effectively with colleagues
