CareerMakers Recruitment are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our client based in Wigan, WN5.Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain panel saws and CNC machinery to cut, shape, and finish materials accuratelyInterpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and CAD files to ensure precise productionSet up machines, including tooling changes, calibration, and program adjustmentsLoad materials and ensure correct alignment before cuttingMonitor machine operations to maintain quality and efficiency standardsPerform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machineryInspect finished components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standardsMinimize material waste and optimize cutting patterns for efficiencyMaintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety regulationsWork collaboratively with production, design, and assembly teamsRecord production data and report any faults or inconsistenciesSkills & RequirementsExperience operating CNC machines and/or panel sawsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and measurementsKnowledge of materials used in manufacturingStrong attention to detail and accuracyUnderstanding of CNC programmingGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamUnderstanding of health & safety procedures in a workshop environmentWorkinghours:Monday Thursday 7:30am 4pm, Friday 7am 2pmSalary: £15 per hourIf you are interested in the role, and have the relevant experience please apply with your CV or give us a call on 01942 834 107.JBRP1_UKTJ
