About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join their expanding precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-accuracy components for a variety of sectors. This position is ideal for someone who prides themselves on precision, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls
- Create, edit, and optimise CNC programs to meet production requirements
- Select suitable tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters
- Carry out first-off inspections and ensure all work meets tight tolerances
- Diagnose machining issues and implement process improvements
- Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams
- Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller with strong programming ability
- Excellent understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competence in using precision measuring equipment
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet production targets
Desirable Skills
- Experience with 4-axis or 5-axis CNC milling
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
- Background in low-volume, xbpsjku high-precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices
