Winsearch are currently working with a well-established precision engineering business in the Oldham area who are looking to strengthen their machining team with the addition of an experienced CNC Miller. The Role

You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Siemens controls. The role will involve working from engineering drawings to produce high precision components, ensuring all work meets quality and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Siemens controls
Producing components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings
Selecting appropriate tooling, speeds and feeds
Carrying out in-process inspection using manual measuring equipment
Editing and proving out programmes at the machine
Ensuring machines are running efficiently and safely
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment in line with 5S standards

Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Miller (programmer / setter / operator)
Strong experience using Siemens controls
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working to tight tolerances within a precision engineering environment
Competent using manual inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail

Desirable

Experience with 3, 4 or 5 axis machining
Offline programming experience
Experience working within ISO quality environments
