This global manufacturer of precision engineered parts and products seeks a highly skilled and experienced CNC programmer to join a well-established team based in Hertfordshire. Working within a clean/modern environment, the primary sector covers the Aerospace industry. The nature of the work is highly complex and requires skill and dexterity, with responsibility for leading the Milling and Turning team of CNC machinists, leveraging new CMZ tooling technology. You will be fully involved with producing new methods of manufacture for a diverse range of cutting-edge designs.

Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Planning, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI), developing manufacturing methods for global client designs—including both prototype and repeat production.
* Program, set, and operate CNC Mill/Turn machines and associated Turning equipment to deliver components that meet precise customer specifications:
* Standard tolerances: ±0.001” (±0.025mm)
* Fine tolerances: ±0.0005” (±0.0125mm)
* Accurately record job times within the company’s ERP system and ensure proper scan-in/out procedures.
* Uphold 6S manufacturing standards across shop floor operations.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives—from small refinements to full process re-engineering
Required Skills & Experience
* Background in aerospace or similarly demanding precision engineering environments.
* Proficient in offline programming of CMZ machinery using Fanuc controls.
* Demonstrated machining experience across diverse materials such as Stainless Steel, Titanium, and Aluminium—working to tolerances aligned with customer specifications.
* Either formally apprentice-trained or qualified through 3–5 years of industry experience.
* CAM programming expertise is a strong asset.
* Customer Focus- self-motivated with a desire to produce the very best products and services
* Able to work on your own initiative and build good relationships with colleagues
Hours of work and Benefits
* Working 39.5 hours a week from 15.00 – 01.30 Monday to Wednesday and 15.00 to 01.00 on Thursday (4-day consolidated week)
