What you'll be doing as a CNC Setter Operator Working as a CNC Setter Operator setting and operating 5 axis CNC machines Producing precision carbide tools to tight tolerances Working with advanced grinding machinery including Walter and Rollomatic Carrying out inspection using appropriate measuring equipment Monitoring machine performance and resolving issues Supporting operators with technical queries and setup guidance Essential skills needed from the CNC Setter Operator: Proven experience as a CNC Setter Operator in a precision engineering environment Experience setting and operating CNC machines independently Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Experience working to tight tolerances Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Desirable skills needed from the CNC Setter Operator: Experience within a CNC tool grinding environment Exposure to machines such as Walter, Rollomatic or similar Apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification.
