A well-established professional services organisation is seeking aCommercial Accountant to help translate financial data into clear commercial insight, supporting better decision-making.

This role offers a highly flexible working pattern, with just 1 day per week in the office and the remainder working remotely, alongside an attractive benefits package and a salary of £40,000£50,000.

The Commercial Accountant will act as a trusted finance business partner across the organisation, embedding financial focus into decision-making and driving measurable improvements in margins and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

Partnering with departments across the business, challenging assumptions and influencing decisions with robust financial insight

Analysing income, margin and cost drivers, identifying risks and opportunities

Supporting the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts, factoring in internal and external drivers

Monitoring performance against budget and constructively challenging variances with senior stakeholders

Building and maintaining dashboards, KPIs and financial ratios that clearly show business performance

Developing and improving profit and cost centre structures

Supporting change initiatives through project appraisals and cost-benefit analysis

Assisting the CFO with accurate Board reporting, including insightful month-end commentary

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Strong commercial awareness

Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial or actuarial data into clear, actionable insight

Confidence in respectfully challenging assumptions and influencing stakeholders across non-finance teams

Experience building financial dashboards and turning data into a compelling narrative for decision-makers

Salary: £40,000

Hybrid working: 1 day per week in the office, 4 days remote

Holiday: 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Pension: 8% employer contribution

Bonus: 5% annual bonus
