Be a part of it.Cygnet have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Director within the Social Care Division.Joining our team on a full time, 40-hour per week basis, this role requires national travel in support of the business needs.Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of social care services for adults with autism, learning disabilities and those requiring elderly care within the UK. We have built a reputation for delivering pioneering services and outstanding outcomes for the individuals in our care.Role PurposeThe Social Care Commercial Director is responsible for driving revenue growth and meeting divisional targets, further developing our social care footprint, and strengthening the commercial performance of the social care division. The role provides strategic leadership across business development, sales, pricing, marketing, and acquisition integration, while ensuring commercial excellence and sustainable profitability.This position leads a high‑performing team of Business Relationship Managers and Referral Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy & GrowthDeliver revenue, occupancy, and profitability targets for the social care division.Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and growth channels to increase occupancy and commercial performance.Develop business cases and investment memorandums for growth initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.Lead commercial due diligence, market analysis, and integration planning for M&A activity.Oversee all growth programmes, including acquisitions, organic developments, and service re-provisioning.Leadership & Stakeholder EngagementLead, develop, and inspire the Business Relationship and Referral Management teams to deliver exceptional performance.Strengthen external partnerships and drive high‑quality stakeholder engagement across commissioners, funders, and strategic partners.Collaborate closely with Marketing to develop and implement a robust social care marketing strategy that enhances brand visibility and supports commercial goals.Pricing & ContractingDeliver pricing strategies to ensure targets are met, and services remain sustainable, while ensuring market competitiveness.Oversee contract negotiations, and effective risk management.Support the Pricing Team with annual fee increases and proactive fee reviews, delivering targeted pricing uplifts.Operational & Financial OversightWork closely with Operational Directors to monitor P&L performance, ensuring cost‑effective service delivery whilst sustaining quality.Monitor and report on commercial KPIs, adjusting strategies as required to meet targets.Provide oversight of supported living SLAs and leases, including relationship management, dispute resolution, and renewals, ensuring contractual and financial optimisation.Why Cygnet?
