Commercial Director
New Today
Our client Brymec is a £30m, high‑growth mechanical building products supplier with a unique direct‑to‑site, own‑brand model—sitting between a manufacturer and a distributor. As the business strengthens its management team and accelerates towards the next stage of growth, we are pleased to be supporting them in the recruitment a Commercial Director to build the engine room of Brymec’s commercial capability.
This is a pivotal leadership role working directly with the General Manager, shaping the product, technical and pricing strategy that underpins margin, competitiveness, and long‑term market differentiation.
The Role
As Commercial Director, you will create the ‘commercial glue’ between Product, Technical, Pricing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance. You will bring structure, clarity and discernment across the full commercial lifecycle, ensuring Brymec wins earlier in the specification chain, competes more effectively, and grows profitably.
You will take ownership for:
Product portfolio strategy: expansion, rationalisation and roadmap development
Pricing governance, competitiveness and margin improvement
Technical services capability, including advisory support, compliance and collateral
Commercial frameworks, business cases, and investment decision‑making
Building and developing a small but specialist commercial team
What You Will Deliver (First 12 Months)
A clear, commercially driven product roadmap
Stronger pricing discipline and measurable gross profit improvement
Enhanced technical support responsiveness and credibility with consultants and contractors
Clear commercial governance and decision frameworks
Progress on new revenue opportunities and category-level growth
About You

Product-led, technical or specification‑driven sectors (MEP, HVAC, building services, construction products)
Pricing strategy, product lifecycle management and technical-compliance environments
Leading specialist teams (product management, technical advisory, pricing)
Working cross‑functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations and Marketing
Personal attributes include: structured, commercially astute, analytically strong, humble, collaborative and action‑oriented. Someone who brings pace and clarity without ego and thrives in a friendly, entrepreneurial SME environment.
Why Join?
A unique model with clear competitive differentiation
A refreshed, ambitious leadership team and strong investment plan
Direct influence and visibility at senior level
Real ownership of the commercial strategy shaping the next phase of growth
