£44,720 - £50,000 per annum + project completion bonus Additional Pay:
Out-of-hours retention payment up to £1,400, overtime paid at 1.5x standard hourly rate Benefits

The Opportunity
An exciting new opportunity has opened for an experienced and motivated
Commercial Gas Installation Engineer
to join a forward-thinking and expanding business. This is a brand-new position within their growing Commercial Division, created to meet the rising demand for projects across the region. Youll work on a diverse range of installations, from domestic boilers to large industrial heating plantrooms, across the social housing and care sectors, where your expertise directly improves comfort and safety for vulnerable residents. This role offers variety, independence, and the chance to develop your skills while managing rewarding projects. The Role
Youll be responsible for installing a wide range of gas and mechanical systems, including boilers, water heaters, and complete plantrooms. While your main focus will be on installations, youll also support the service and maintenance team when required, ensuring smooth project delivery. Occasional overnight stays may be required, but these are infrequent and planned in advance. Key Responsibilities
Manage your installation team to achieve high-quality project delivery.
Collaborate with project managers and administrators to coordinate schedules.
Complete full gas and mechanical installations for plantrooms, including refurbishments and new builds.
Read and interpret technical drawings for accurate material selection and installation.
Install commercial gas and plumbing systems to the highest safety and quality standards.
Diagnose and resolve installation issues quickly to minimise downtime.
Conduct safety, leak, and emissions tests in compliance with legislation.
Communicate professionally with clients and address queries effectively.
Complete all documentation or app-based forms promptly for installations and handovers.
Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge.
Provide engineering support during emergencies, following Gas Safe guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Gas Safety and Commercial Gas Tickets:
CCN1, COCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, DAH1, CODNCO1, CORT1, ICPN1, CIGA1, TPCP1A
F-GAS and catering qualifications (desirable)
Full UK driving licence
Proven knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, gas systems, and controls
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
Excellent communication and customer service skills
L8 Awareness required
Knowledge of
SFG20
(desirable)
Electrical skills or relevant qualifications (desirable)
