Our team works across a large range of releases from high-charting album campaigns through to developing artists. The role will cover a broad range of musical genres, for example, dance, electronic, indie, alternative, pop, country, hip-hop and rap, across both UK domestic and international artists.You will be responsible for looking after a range of allocated DSP partners, primarily focusing on pitching Virgin Music Group’s global repertoire to UK DSP teams.The role is extremely dynamic and fast-paced. You will need to be very detail-oriented and be able to pull together key information from various sources and present it in a clear, concise manner back to partners.You will be comfortable interpreting data and trends from a range of sources, including but not limited to streaming data, charts, social media, live and others.You will be comfortable adapting to change whilst ensuring communication stays consistent and clear.You will work closely with the Senior Commercial Marketing Manager and the wider Commercial team, having complete responsibility for your own allocated DSP partners. You will be expected to be proficient in all forms of presenting, comfortable hosting partner meetings & have a strong knack for relationship building.The person in this role needs to be hard working and conscientious, have a data-led approach to narrative storytelling and pitching and have a built-in passion for music.The B Side: Skills & ExperienceAccount lead for a number of Streaming services (DSPs)Building & maintaining relationshipsPresenting upcoming & ongoing prioritiesPresenting upcoming & ongoing DSP initials to marketing & label management teamsSecuring commercial marketing opportunities for Virgin Music Group’s artist and label partnersManaging/submitting release pitches in DSP partner tools, quality control/editing pitch informationMeet regularly with DSPs to present ongoing and upcoming priorities – maintaining relationships and securing the best opportunities for our releasesRepresenting Virgin Music Group in meetings with artist and label clients, supporting them in planning release strategy and audience developmentBuilding newsletters for weekly DSP communicationsContributing Commercial perspective to Virgin Music Group internal planning meetingsRecording new release & ongoing DSP editorial placements for communication to our label & artist partnersAttending & representing VMG at events including but not limited to gigs, conferences, in person meetings and moreNOTE: some of these will take place outside of standard working hoursAssisting with the running of the team, organising meetings, taking and distributing of notes, general adminBuilding decks for DSP presentations and internal meetingsPerson specificationUnderstanding of and passion for current music and social trends with a wide understanding of broader contemporary cultureActively involved in the music scene, preferably with a passion for attending live showsPre-existing DSP relationships desirableExperience of managing client relationshipsExcellent administrative and time management skillsHighly detailed orientated and outstanding attention to detailAbility to remain calm when working under pressure and to deadlinesSelf-motivated and able to deal with the routine tasks as well as the more challenging aspects of the roleAble to prioritise and identify key tasks within a rapidly changing work scheduleGreat IT skills - particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suites, MailChimp amongst others, as well an ability to learn and have a good comprehension of various IT infrastructuresExcellent written and verbal skills e.g. Confident to re-write or adapt marketing texts as and when necessaryEnthusiasm and a willingness to learn and take on new tasks that may ariseBenefitsGroup Personal Pension Scheme (between 3% and 9%)Private Medical Insurance25 paid days of annual leaveInterest Free Season Ticket LoanHoliday Purchase schemeDental and Travel Insurance optionsCycle to Work SchemeSalary Sacrifice CarsSubsidised Gym MembershipEmployee Discounts (Reward Gateway)
