This is a unique opportunity to gain unparalleled exposure to the commercial business of a leading aerospace company.
The Commercial Team is responsible for driving the successful execution of contracts associated with the Sale & Customization, Retrofit, Training, MRO, and Support & Services for civilian and military customers.
You will act as a key partner to the Offers Manager and Sales Team , providing critical support on contractual setups, including the negotiation and refinement of Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) during complex bidding processes.
This pivotal role requires close collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders, including Sales, Material Management, Production, Maintenance, Finance , and other supporting functions.
Key Responsibilities Contract & Commercial Management Manage the end-to-end execution of "By the Hours" contracts , from kick-off to close-out, ensuring full compliance with company processes, standards, and requirements.

Lead the development and drafting of "By the Hours" service offers and contracts in collaboration with internal and external suppliers.

Act as the primary commercial point of contact for the Customer Support Manager or Sales Manager , leading negotiation and execution of contract amendments and change orders.

Proactively monitor contractual terms and performance, including pricing renewals, to ensure continued profitability.

Manage and support customer requests for contract changes, including potential buy-ins or buy-outs .

Develop and maintain a By the Hour / PBH contract register to ensure timely monitoring and renewal.

Commercial Performance & Reporting Monitor aircraft flying rates to ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing.

Report on contractual performance to the AHUK Leadership Team , providing clear analysis of key metrics such as schedule, profit, and risk.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update and validate business cases in response to contract changes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Maintenance, Material Management, Production, Finance, and other business units.

Support the wider Support & Services function and other Offers and Commercial Managers, depending on workload and business priorities.

Continuous Improvement Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Commercial and Contract Management methodologies within AHUK.

Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency and mitigate commercial risk.

Candidate Profile This role is ideal for an individual with a strong passion for technical and commercial excellence within the aviation industry . You will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex commercial challenges while working collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace Management , or a related field.

Proven experience in a commercial, contract management, or related business role , demonstrating strong commercial acumen.

Demonstrable experience supporting contract negotiations , financial analysis, business case development, and contract profitability management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (GSheets, GDocs, etc.) .

Proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented mindset with strong risk identification and mitigation skills.

Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK, France, and Germany .

Desirable Broad understanding of the global aviation/aerospace industry or a similarly complex engineering sector.

Experience managing the full lifecycle of contracts .

Strong understanding of contract law and its practical commercial application.

Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and prioritise effectively.

Additional Requirements Ability to obtain DBS clearance and undergo Security Clearance .

Compliance with Export Control Regulations .

Legal right to work in the United Kingdom .
