Salary range: £45-65K depending on experience.

The Commercial Pricing Manager is responsible for managing the product and client pricing and profitability strategy and data analysis for Matrix, acting as a linchpin between robust data analysis and strategic decision-making, transforming market and commercial insights into actionable pricing strategies.
By ensuring our approaches remain competitive and responsive to market dynamics, a commercial pricing analyst empowers the organisation to maximise profitability, support multi-product expansion, and uphold consistency and rigour in every client engagement.
To succeed in this role, you will be proactive, inquisitive and have a proven track record of both analysing and interpreting pricing and commercial data sets to drive action and business improvement together with a demonstrable background in commercial pricing strategy and execution.
You will be able to influence and challenge people at different levels across the business and be able to manage multiple projects and their deadlines simultaneously.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
· Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and sales data to inform pricing decisions.
· Develop and implement commercial pricing and profitability strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure commercial pricing strategies are effectively communicated and implemented.
· Monitor and report on the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
· Working across product, customer, and client teams to develop strategies that provide commercial incentivisation for multi-product line growth (cross-sell and upsell) across our client base.
· Manage the commercial pricing governance process to ensure consistency and accuracy across all new deals and client renewals.
· Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of revenue, forecasting, and performance metrics.
· Create reports to communicate revenue insights, including identification of margin maximization opportunities and levers to address shortfalls.
· Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
· Conduct and enhance time and motion studies to support commercial pricing decisions.
*What you bring*
· You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in pricing and data analysis, OR a commercial operations function where pricing and data analysis is a demonstrable primary component.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· You will be proactive and able to pick up issues and deliver outcomes quickly and efficiently.
· You’ll be able to build rapport and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
· You’ll have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· You’ll be comfortable using MS Office and various software and systems.
