This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join a collaborative and well-established team in Macclesfield. You’ll step into a friendly, people-first environment where the culture is genuinely supportive, progression is encouraged, and lawyers are trusted to work independently without pressure or targets that compromise client care. From day one, you’ll manage a broad range of commercial property transactions independently. Over your first six months, you’ll pass probation, settle into the team and start building your own caseload while becoming confident with the firm’s case management system. Within 12 months, you’ll be handling a full caseload autonomously, contributing to business development and maintaining compliance. You’ll join a long-established firm with multiple offices across the North West, a strong local reputation, and a warm, down-to-earth working culture. 5+ years’ PQE as a qualified commercial property solicitor Able to independently manage a full spectrum of commercial property work Experience across sales/purchases, landlord & tenant matters, secured lending and pension-related transactions Comfortable generating new work and maintaining referrer relationships Excellent time management and organisational skills Supervisory experience (desired) Experience acting for SMEs, investors and corporate clients (desired) Detail-focused, collaborative and calm under pressure
What you’ll be doing
Manage your own caseload across commercial sales/purchases, leases, renewals and assignments Handle bank funding and pension fund property work Ensure full file compliance in line with Lexcel and SRA standards Generate fee income and maintain accurate time recording, billing and WIP Supervise and mentor junior colleagues where required Attend clients, maintain relationships and contribute to business development Participate in marketing initiatives, events and networking Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider property team
