About the role: BYD Automotive is currently looking for

CommercialVehicleTechnician to join our team reporting directly to the Workshop Manager. The CommercialVehicleTechnician will support and repair the BYD commercial vehicles roadside, or at the customer premises. Required for below regions: West Midlands Area (Birmingham/Coventry) Scotland Area Greater London Area We offer: 1.5x Overtime pay 25 Days annual holiday allowance plus bank holidays Workplace pension Company van provided Company work phone and sim provided Private healthcare Team building events and employee learning opportunities Tasks & Typical duties/responsibilities: Professional focused approach to customers with the aim to please at all times Able to support BYD vehicles roadside, or at the customer premises Background knowledge of commercial/public service vehicles Able to work flexible hours of travel (may include time away from home) Outlook to repair BYD vehicles to the highest possible standards Diagnosis electrical defects and component working high voltage The ability to carry out and diagnosis mechanical repairs when required Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace Any other reasonable duties Basic Qualifications & Desirables: Clean UK drivers licence is required Must have an electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering or related qualification Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management and organisation skills requiring minimum supervision At least 3 years experience of automotive industry Good understanding of UK vehicle legislation for M3 category vehicles Understanding of FMEA and hazard analysis procedures Computer knowledge and efficiency, including MS Office Has right-to-work in the UK
