Interim Commissioning Project Manager - SEND

Based in London, hybrid working

Length: 3 months initially

Rate: £400 per day outside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Commissioning Project Manager, who will play a key role in leading on commissioning transformation work aligned to the Safety Valve Programme.

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Commissioning Project Manager:

Leading commissioning projects that support the development of sustainable, needs-led services for children and people pre and post-16 with SEND Driving improvements in service delivery through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based decision-making Supporting the implementation of frameworks and agreements that enhance quality, consistency, and cost control across commissioned services

Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Commissioning Project Manager:

Proven experience in a commissioning role within a Local Authority, particularly in Children’s Services or SEND Strong understanding of commissioning processes for education placements, therapies, and transition services Demonstrable ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes Experience in developing and managing contractual frameworks, including provider agreements and performance monitoring tools
