Sheffield, S1 4EB\n\n£44,918 per annum\n\nPermanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to work within our Property Services team. We are a forward thinking, values driven department, this role is based in our Rockingham Street offices.\n\nWe are looking for a Compliance Manager to drive and maintain effective legislative and regulatory compliance in the management of SYHA assets to ensure that SYHA’s customers live in safe and compliant homes.\n\nYou will work as part of the Maintenance Management Team in our Property Services Department to ensure an appropriate framework is in place, providing assurance that our assets are well managed, and we achieve 100% compliance in line with regulatory requirements.\n\nOur team are committed to providing brilliant services to our customers and the successful candidate will share our values. Our ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of regulations governing gas safety, electricity, asbestos, legionella, lifts and lifting equipment and fire risk.
You will also be expected to understand the implications of Awaab’s law and work within SYHA policy and procedure to respond to Damp, Mould and Condensation cases. You will be responsible for managing compliance servicing contracts and addressing issues arising from maintaining and managing assets. Experience in a similar role working within a housing or construction environment is essential.\n\nFor our perfect candidate we are offering a flexible role, working in a caring and friendly team, with a great package of benefits.\n\nJob Description:\n\n * Salary scale 5C £44,918 - £48,441\n\n * 37 hours per week\n\n * Essential Car User allowance\n\n * Benefits which include an excellent flexible working scheme, family friendly perks, wellbeing scheme, discounts scheme.\n\n * Access to a wide range of programs to train and develop you\n\n * Pension contribution\n\nMore about the role:\n\nAs Compliance Manager, you will lead a team to support the Head of Maintenance and carry out a quality assurance role to ensure that we meet regulatory requirements, and the data and recording is accurate and timely.\n\nYou will also be responsible for writing reports for changes to legislation or good practice and the financial implications of changes for the organisation.\n\nSouth Yorkshire Housing Association (SYHA) is a charitable organisation managing more than 6,000 homes and supporting hundreds of people to lead independent lives.
