Senior / Managing Associate – Construction Law We are working with an international law firm that is seeking a Senior Solicitor to join its highly regarded Projects, Development and Construction team on a non-contentious basis. The Role This team is a central part of the firm’s practice and advises on a broad range of construction and development matters across the full lifecycle of projects. Clients include public bodies, developers, investors, funders, property owners, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and professional consultants. The team is typically instructed at the earliest stages of projects, advising on procurement routes, risk allocation and contracting strategy. The role involves drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction, development and project documentation, ensuring that agreements accurately reflect clients’ commercial objectives and appropriately manage risk. The work spans the full spectrum of construction, development and infrastructure matters, with particular emphasis on regeneration projects, the accommodation and housing sectors, energy and renewables, healthcare, hotels and major infrastructure. While the majority of work is UK-focused, the team also advises on international projects and works closely with a trusted network of overseas law firms and consultants. Key Requirements
Qualified solicitor with at least 6 years PQE Extensive experience in non-contentious construction law Strong knowledge of standard form contracts and appointments, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC, together with market-standard amendments and commercial positions Experience with bespoke and complex agreements and development-led transactions Sector experience in development, investment, housing or accommodation projects would be particularly attractive Ability to run matters, manage files and handle a varied workload effectively Experience supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members Experience with, an the proactive nature, in business development
