On behalf of my client we are recruitingfor aConsultant Psychiatristfor the West Midlands area. My clientcares for men and women with mental health needs in both an acute setting and a locked personality disorder treatment and rehabilitation setting.The hospital has 32 beds comprising of 16 personality disorder rehabilitation beds and 16 acute mental health beds.

Youmust hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties. You will certainly have experience at consultant level within the NHS, including the ability to conduct training.Previous Consultancy experience is essential.

You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients supervising the process of referral and admission including contribution to the pre-admission assessments of young people. The role is a pivotal element of an established multi-disciplinary team aiming to ensure that patients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme.

This position is working 37.5 hrs p/wk.
