Job Description
Commercial law firm in the City is seeking to recruit a Construction lawyer of 4 or more years’ PQE to undertake both contentious & non-contentious Construction matters. The team operates across a range of jurisdictions. From a UK perspective, they advise clients on all aspects of their construction and engineering projects.
They advise on all standard forms of UK contracts including the well-used NEC4 and JCT, Model Forms of contract as well as international forms such as FIDIC, IChemE, and bespoke turnkey contracts. They also undertake all forms of dispute resolution by the team including litigation, arbitration (including international arbitration), dispute boards and adjudication as well as all forms of ADR. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload with plenty of scope for direct client contact.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload load across a range of different sectors - for example engineering plant (eg. energy & power), process plant in manufacturing and the built infrastructure environment, involving a combination of contentious and non-contentious matters, as well as working on a range of different infrastructure projects. This role will suit someone with a commercial attitude along with a confident and proactive approach, with good people skills, an ability to work as a team player and an interest in business development.
There will be the potential for individual advancement within the team in an environment which encourages leadership and involvement with the business and its clients. Applicants will have a strong track record in Construction & Engineering law and possess the drive and ability to deliver high-quality work. You will be coming from a well-regarded practice for the work it does in Construction law and will thrive in a collaborative team environment.
