Contracts Manager – Passive Fire

Location: Chigwell | Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 | Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee passive fire protection projects, including fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, and FRA remedial works across social housing and commercial properties. This office-based role in Chigwell offers excellent career progression, training opportunities, and the chance to lead a team delivering high-quality, compliant projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage passive fire contracts from planning to completion.

* Ensure compliance with BS 476, BS 8214, Building Regulations, Fire Safety Act 2021.

* Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

* Monitor budgets, valuations, costs, and contract profitability.

* Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and prepare handover/compliance packs.

* Act as main client contact, providing progress updates and resolving issues.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* Proven experience in passive fire protection contracts, fire stopping, fire doors, and compartmentation.

* Knowledge of FRA remedial works and social housing environments.

* Strong leadership, commercial, and team management skills.

* Excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills.

Desirable:

* FIRAS / BM TRADA / IFC accreditation.

* IFE qualifications or fire safety training.

* SMSTS, SSSTS, NEBOSH/IOSH.
