Contracts Manager Full Time Role
Salary: £55,000-£60,000 + Car Allowance + Healthcare

Role Overview
This role leads the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects from pre‑construction through to handover. It combines programme management, commercial coordination, and day‑to‑day site communication. Strong technical understanding is essential, and while a joinery background is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
You'll work closely with surveyors, site teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. The position suits someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys problem‑solving, and can confidently manage multiple live schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage project programmes using MS Projects.
Liaise closely with the Quantity Surveyor on commercial matters, variations, and cost control.
Coordinate with site managers and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Lead progress meetings with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
Oversee technical aspects of construction, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards.
Manage subcontractors, procurement schedules, and project documentation.
Ensure all works meet health, safety, and quality requirements.
Support project planning, risk management, and reporting to senior management.
Experience & Background
Experience delivering healthcare, education, or commercial construction projects.
Strong technical knowledge across construction disciplines; joinery background preferred but not essential.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects ranging from £300k to £5m.
Confident communicator, able to work effectively with clients, surveyors, and site teams.
Competent in MS Projects and general project management software.
Qualifications & Requirements
NVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Management (or equivalent).
SMSTS certification.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on live projects.
