Job Description Our CrossReach Counselling and Recovery team are a values-led team committed to delivering high-quality therapeutic support to individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges. Through compassionate, ethical and professional practice, we aim to provide life-changing, life enhancing services. As a Volunteer Counsellor with CrossReach in our Bluebell Perinatal Service, you will be providing a professional counselling service to clients. We will provide you with the necessary training that allows you to practice within our guidelines. We will also offer you the necessary training needed when you join the team.

If you would like to volunteer with us as a counsellor, we ask that you have completed a diploma in counselling or are currently undergoing a counselling diploma and have completed your readiness to practice. For our perinatal services we also ask that you have completed a minimum of 50 clinical hours. If you would like to see clients online, we also ask that you have completed an ACTO approved online training course. If you join us as a volunteer counsellor we will ask that you provide us with the name and contact details of your external supervisor.
CrossReach Counselling is an organisational member of COSCA and adheres to COSCA’s Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice. The PSA assesses organisations that register health and social care practitioners ensuring your practitioner meets your needs.
Applicants shortlisted for interview will be invited to attend a Recruitment and Selection Evening on 14 January 2026.
