We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable
Cover Supervisor & Sports Coach
to join a secondary school in Barnsley on a
supply basis from Easter 2026 . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and sport, who enjoys working with young people and making a positive impact both in the classroom and through physical education. The Role
This is a varied role combining classroom supervision and sports coaching responsibilities. Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies Supporting the delivery of PE lessons and extracurricular sports activities Has experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience desirable) Has a strong interest or background in sport or coaching Is confident managing a classroom and engaging pupils Is flexible, professional, and approachable Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service Flexible opportunities to suit your availability Experience within a supportive school environment A rewarding role supporting both academic learning and physical development If you are passionate about working with young people and are looking for a flexible role combining education and sport, we would love to hear from you.
