Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Marlow (Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our Finance team in Marlow. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portion of the sales ledger and reducing overdue balances through effective credit control practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and prior experience in a similar role to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively chase overdue balances with external customers
Perform account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
Allocate customer payments efficiently and accurately
Maintain up-to-date customer contact information
Conduct credit risk assessments for prospective new customers
Resolve queries by liaising with internal stakeholders, including Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives, in a timely manner
Monitor and action items in the team's shared mailbox
Handle ad hoc duties as required, including setting up new customer accounts

Do you have what it takes?

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a credit control role

Experience using SAP

Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

Intermediate MS Excel skills

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships
