Credit Controller

New Yesterday

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client to join their friendly and supportive finance team as a Credit Controller on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, and offers hybrid working, providing a good balance between office and home-based work. You will be joining a welcoming workplace where people are encouraged, supported and valued. The main focus of this role is to monitor customer accounts and ensure outstanding invoices are collected in a timely manner. This position would suit someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable communicating with customers, as well as working closely with colleagues across the business. Reporting to the Hiring Manager, you will be responsible for chasing overdue payments by phone, email and written correspondence, allocating and reconciling incoming payments, and investigating invoice queries with internal departments. You will also prepare regular reports on aged debt and cash collection, escalate problem accounts when required, and keep accurate records of all credit control activity. Building and maintaining positive relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders will be an important part of the role. We are looking for someone with previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable, who has strong communication skills and a good eye for detail. You should be able to manage multiple accounts, work to deadlines and feel confident using Microsoft Excel and Sage. A basic understanding of accounting principles is also important. In return, you will be offered a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working, annual leave, pension following probation, and opportunities to progress within the business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a supportive and approachable working environment. Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
