The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced criminal solicitor to take the next step in their career, managing a diverse and challenging caseload of criminal defence work. The successful candidate will represent clients at police stations, Magistrates’ and Crown Courts, delivering high‑quality advice and advocacy at all stages. Key Responsibilities

Attend police stations and Magistrates’ Courts as part of the duty rota. Handle a full caseload of criminal matters from initial instruction to conclusion. Provide effective representation and advocacy at all levels. Prepare case files in accordance with LAA and firm standards. Supervise junior staff and contribute to the continued success of the team.

Requirements

Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE in criminal law. Current Duty Solicitor Accreditation (none duty also considered). Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client care skills. Proven ability to manage a demanding caseload independently. Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred.
