To support continued growth, the broker market is segmented into strategic, key, development, and connect partners-allowing for a more targeted and effective approach.As part of this growth, we are looking to hire a Development Underwriter to support the expansion of a Cyber portfolio, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver against ambitious income and growth targets.The Role This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building and developing a growing Cyber book. You will be responsible for underwriting complex risks, managing broker relationships, and driving new business through an aligned panel of brokers.You'll work closely with the Head of Trading, Head of Cyber, and Broker Development Director to execute the strategic plan, while being highly visible in the market and recognised as a trusted partner to brokers.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite complex cyber risks within delegated authority, maintaining strong underwriting disciplineDeliver an efficient and responsive new business service to brokersBuild, manage, and develop relationships across a panel of brokersIdentify and develop new broker relationships to support growth ambitionsDrive pipeline development and convert opportunities into profitable businessMaintain accurate broker and pipeline data within CRM systemsContribute to reporting on broker activity and new business performanceSupport broker education through training sessions and external eventsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for brokers and clientsPromote a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the teamAbout YouProven experience in Cyber underwriting with strong technical capabilityDemonstrated success in building and managing broker relationshipsCommercial mindset with a track record of winning and retaining businessStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsConfident using systems including CRM and Microsoft Office toolsMotivated, driven, and keen to contribute to building a market-leading Cyber offeringThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Cyber team within a global insurer, where you can make a real impact and help shape the future of the portfolio.JBRP1_UKTJ
