We are looking for an enthusiastic Data Scientist to join our Marketing Effectiveness product team. The team is focused on building solutions to help Marketeers at the LEGO Group spend the marketing budget in the most effective way.
This person will work alongside other data scientists, data engineers and software engineers to build end-to-end solutions, including automated data pipelines, a modelling platform to run econometrics models, optimization tools. The team also delivers MMM projects for some business areas.
Core Responsibilities
Deliver MMM models for specific areas of the business, focusing on impact and actionable insights, including data preparation, modelling and post-delivery support.
Interpret and deliver clear insights and recommendations to partners – mainly marketeers – using the most appropriate tools.
Collaborate with partners and the product manager to ensure data science work delivers real value and impact.
Collaborate with other data scientists and data engineers in an effective and constructive way.
Support the team to migrate solutions from legacy platforms to DataBricks.
Support continuous improvement of the solutions developed within the team.
Stay up to date with the latest ground-breaking technologies such as computer science fundamentals and programming.
Do you have what it takes?
You are familiar with or willing to learn a diverse range of technologies: Programming languages – Python, R; Data Platforms – Databricks, RStudio; Engineering Tools – Github, AWS, Terraform, DBT; You have experience in Marketing Effectiveness and Marketing Mix Modelling; You have experience in quantifying the impact of paid and unpaid channels on a performance KPI; Ideally, you have experience in some of the following areas: experimentation, Geo Lift, causal impact, propensity modelling; You are familiar working in a product‑led/agile framework; You can clearly communicate with other team members, data scientists, data engineers and product manager; You can communicate with partners and translate technical content to business audiences; You are eager to learn, both through your day‑to‑day job and through self‑driven initiatives; You are willing to travel occasionally (less than 20% overall); Fluent in English both written and spoken.
