The Role As Department Engineer, you'll sit at the heart of the maintenance function — bridging the gap between hands-on technical delivery and strategic reliability improvement. Primarily office-based, you'll work in close partnership with operations to plan, lead and continuously improve maintenance activity across site. This isn't just a technical role. You'll be managing people, driving standards and genuinely influencing how the engineering function operates day to day. What You'll Be Doing * Leading the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule through an information centre and CMMS * Managing and developing a team of trades and apprentices, coaching them to a consistently high standard * Driving a reliability-focused culture using recognised lean principles * Supporting fault finding and diagnosis across complex plant and equipment * Managing external contractors to health & safety, cost, time and quality expectations * Working towards achieving Isolation Officer (...
