As Deputy Head, you will work closely with the Head of School to support the day-to-day leadership and strategic development of the school, ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to thrive. Key responsibilities include: Leading and developing teaching staff and support teams
Promoting outstanding teaching and learning across the school
Supporting pupils with complex SEND and behavioural needs
Monitoring behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding systems
Working collaboratively with families, therapists, and external agencies
Contributing to the school improvement strategy and curriculum development
What Were Looking For
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient leader who has: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Significant experience in a SEND or specialist education setting Proven leadership experience within a school environment Strong understanding of SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour support Ability to inspire staff and build a positive school culture Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing Why Join This School?
