Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home Location: Crediton, Devon Salary: £34,944 Hours: 40 hours per week

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential home in Crediton, looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager from a residential or supported living background, or a motivated Senior Support Worker with a Level 3 qualification ready to take the next step into management.

The Role Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will support the day-to-day operational management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently met. You will play a key role in leading and developing the staff team while ensuring children and young people receive safe, nurturing, and person-centred care. This is a structured full-time role consisting of:

2 x Admin Days: Flexible start & end times 2 x 12 hour Shift Days to support the team 1 weekend per month Sleep-ins only when required to meet the needs of the home (£70 per sleep-in, paid in addition to your hourly rate)Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall running of the home Leading, motivating, and supervising the residential care team Ensuring safeguarding procedures are robust and consistently followed Contributing to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews Supporting rota management and staffing requirements Conducting supervisions and contributing to staff development Maintaining compliance with regulatory and legislative standards Deputising in the absence of the Registered ManagerCandidate Requirements

Experience in children's residential care or supported living settings Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Children & Young People (or equivalent) Previous experience in a senior role, or readiness to step into a deputy management position Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills Sound knowledge of safeguarding, care standards, and relevant legislation A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve positive outcomesWhat's on Offer
