NEW DESIGN ENGINEER IN WHITSTABLE.

A leading manufacturer of a range of complex electronic applications for the military and aerospace industries are searching for a Design Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Whitstable, Kent.

Our client is looking for a proactive Design Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking design team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate production and quality issues, identify root cause and implement robust design and tooling solutions that support manufacturability, quality and long-term process stability.

Responsibilities as an Design Engineer in Whitstable .

Contribute to the moulding engineering design workload, supporting both production and development activities.

Investigate production stops and quality issues, identify root cause and implementing corrective design or tooling changes.

Analyse existing moulding processes and tooling to identify and implement improvements.

Design, verify and maintain detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for moulded components and tooling using CAD software (Creo or similar).

Support material selection activities, including alternatives for obsolete or hard-to-source materials.

Interface with internal and external stakeholders throughout the design, investigation and implementation process.

Requirements as an Design Engineer in Whitstable .

Degree qualified (BEng or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.

Experience using 3D CAD (preferably Creo).
