Our Client is seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Solar Designer to join their growing team. They are a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions and are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative solar designs that meet the needs of our commercial clients.

- Design and develop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for commercial buildings, includingRoof-mounted system , Ground-mounted system , Carport-mounted systems.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to determine the optimal solar system configuration.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications using industry-standard software (e.g., PV Sol AutoCAD, PVSyst, SketchUp).
- Prepare system sizing calculations, performance simulations, and energy yield estimates.
- Develop bill of materials (BOM) for solar system components.
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest solar technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support sales and marketing efforts by providing technical expertise and design proposals.
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in designing commercial solar PV systems.
- Strong understanding of solar energy fundamentals, including system components, sizing, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp) and solar design software (PVSol PVSyst, SAM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards (e.g., MCS, IET).
