Our client is seeking a Design Engineer to ensure design excellence across a portfolio of 300+ workplace and job centre projects. This is a strategic, non-hands-on role focused on design assurance, standards evolution, and guidance.
Duration: 6 months initial
Location: Cardiff, 3 days onsite/week
Salary: Up to £500 per day
Essential Criteria
- Professional qualification in Architecture or Interior Design (experience in commercial/retail sectors preferred)
- Experience delivering large-scale workplace or public sector projects, especially job centres
- Knowledge of inclusive design principles and accessibility standards
- Ability to engage stakeholders and present to senior audiences
- Experience developing and implementing design standards
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and RIBA project stages
