A leading engineering manufacturer of complex analytical and instrumentation equipment is searching for a

Design Engineering Manager . This role will manage a cross-functional engineering team and deliver innovative new products for global industrial markets.

The Role

As Design Engineering Manager, you will oversee mechanical design strategy, delivery and team performance. You will be accountable for ensuring mechanical integrity, manufacturability and compliance across all new product development activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage mechanical and multi-disciplinary design teams.

Lead design governance, ensuring engineering rigour and quality.

Run design reviews and resolve complex mechanical issues.

Develop engineering processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support technology roadmaps and NPD planning with senior leadership.

Recruit, coach and develop engineers at all levels.

Skills & Experience

Proven management or team leadership experience in mechanical design.

Background developing complex, electro-mechanical or instrumentation products.

Strong CAD, FEA and engineering analysis capability.

Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and quality systems.

Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.
