Our client, a design and build contractor in the water sector, is currently seeking a skilled Design Lead for UU Wastewater Non-Infra projects based in Preston. This is a long-term contract opportunity, offering flexibility with remote working options. The role is outside IR35, with the potential for significant earnings.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading multidisciplinary design teams to deliver wastewater non-infrastructure projects Collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure successful project delivery Overseeing the design process from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards Managing project schedules and resources to meet deadlines and budget constraints Providing technical guidance and support to the design team Conducting regular project reviews and implementing improvements as necessary Ensuring health, safety, and environmental considerations are integrated into all design activities

Job Requirements:

Experience in civil engineering design within the water sector Proficiency in leading and managing multidisciplinary design teams Strong understanding of UU wastewater non-infrastructure projects Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Familiarity with relevant software and design tools Flexibility to work on-site in Preston (ideally 2-3 days a week) and remotely
